Samsung partners with iFixit for a Self-Repair Program for the Galaxy S21 and S20 series

The right to improve electronic devices itself has been a hot topic for the past few years. Therefore, some of the biggest names in consumer technology such as Google and Apple have begun to offer easy access to spare parts, manuals, and original tools, so consumers can improve their own products. Samsung is now throwing his hat onto the ring, debuting the “self -improvement program” in partnership with IFIXIT.

This new program will be aired starting today, with spare parts and tools available for a series of Samsung Galaxy S21 and Galaxy S20 devices. In addition to the handset, Samsung will also offer spare parts for the Galaxy Tab S7+. Together with IFIXIT, spare parts and tools will be available in 837 Samsung retail experiences, along with Retail and Samsung services locations. Presumably, this also had to cover Galaxy Harajuku in Japan, which we visited last month. The most important thing is that the price for these parts and tools will not increase for consumers. Conversely, these items will be offered at the same price Samsung collects affiliated repair providers.

In addition, the repair guide for the devices mentioned above will be available online for free. The guide will include step -by -step instructions and detailed images to make it easy to follow. Those who have questions will also be able to connect with the IFIXIT community for further assistance. Of course, this is just the beginning, with Samsung has the aim to support more devices in the future. Until now, the owner of the Samsung Galaxy S21, Galaxy S20, and Galaxy Tab S7+ will have access to the screen, rear glass panel, and charging port. The best of all, Samsung’s replacement display will also be equipped with a pre-pay repayment label so that the old section that is damaged can be recycled responsibly.

If you are not a person who likes adventure, Samsung still offers other improvement options outside of self -improvement programs. Those in the United States will have access to the same day service to more than 2,000 official service locations spearheaded by Best Buy and Ubreakifix locations. Samsung also provides direct services with the 550 Van “We Come to You” fleet. In addition, you can always send your device to Samsung, which is always an easy and comfortable improvement option.
