Sanju Samson has been appointed for the T20 Indian team list ahead of the T20I series in the next five matches against the Western Indies. On Friday, July 29, this series will begin in Trinidad.
KL Rahul has been replaced in a lineup by Sanju Samson. The star of Kerala is a team member for the Odi series which has just finished against the Western Indies but is not included in the T20I squad.
KL Rahul was prevented by Covid-19 to join Indian troops
On the other hand, Rahul was chosen for the T20I team, although its availability depends on his fitness level. Since the IPL concluded, the right hand dough has been ruled out.
After the IPL was finished, he traveled to Germany for the groin operations. After the operation went well, he returned to the National Cricket Academy (NCA) in Bengaluru and began to upload images about rehabilitation programs on social media.
While he recovered time for this series, Covid-19 prevented him from traveling to the Caribbean. He has been tested positively for Covid-19 earlier this month. Rahul did complete his time separately, but according to BCCI medical staff, he had to take time off for another week to relax and recover.
Sanju Samson is included in the T20i squad
Sanju Samson was added to the team for the T20I series by BCCI on Friday. Samson was included in the team list for the opening of the T20I against the West Indies even though BCCI had not yet made a selection officer.
Samson will hope to be given the opportunity to play and use it. He is no longer in the plan for the next T20 World Cup, as proven by the voter’s decision not to place him in the T20I team.
But if Samson takes advantage of his latest opportunity, he still has the opportunity to turn things around. He recently played the Western Indies during the Odi series and will search to play at T20i after scoring fantastic fifty.
